If I had merely changed my mind about my stance, I would've brought Serperior. Do you have any idea how lonely it was to go back to zero when I had just started to make friends? I was in a foul mood all the time, but I didn't want to risk hurting them.

It simply didn't ocur to me that my Ghost Types could bear this place better than the rest until recently. I'd imagine this is tamer than the spirit world.

At any rate, my reason for bringing Lampent here was to use against someone. If standard weapons could take its place, I would have opted for those, but my target would have enjoyed any attack intended to cause pain. It also needed to be something I am proficient in using rather than a new skill... it was a matter of life or death, not simply for myself, but countless others too.

Especially with your explanation, actually. You brought them in as a weapon? Unless you of course have another way of explaining 'a way to use someone' for a 'matter of life or death'.

It isn't because the spirit world, their birthplace, is dangerous by default and they are not as vulnerable as those not born in a realm of death. They are spirits to begin with. The damage won't kill them. They cannot bleed, though they might crack. No injury is lethal. Their life force relies only on one thing...

I have used Lampent before as such. That is why I held the views I did before. The ends justifies the means. One death to prevent tens, hundreds, possibly even more, that is very fair, isn't it? It's almost ideal.

With this war, I'm forced to abandon that approach, because there is too large a margin for error, it's been proven, and my opponents were previously human.

It's shameful to admit, but I used to think it was only natural for humans to side with other humans, so I did, even if I could tell I was in the wrong...

I did not feel the need to justify my actions. I thought it would be fine to be evil so we could attain a good end, because I thought it was the only way.

What do you want to bet that you've given your Lampent a form of 'mortality' by bringing them here.

Back to the point of everything else...Evil is not defined as such unless your own personal morals deem it as such. The villain of a good tale does not believe their actions are evil-they believe them to be, in their own way, just-whether as that means to end, or simply because they are blind.

The fact is, you determined for yourself that those actions are 'evil'. I myself am not innocent of the same.

It's something I respect Touya for.

For someone with such naive views at times, he still stands firm with them where most would have fallen by now.

Let me be frank: Lampent, like many monsters here, feeds off spiritual energy. Particularly humans, but others will do in a pinch.

I have never doubted Touya's ideals.

Touya is purer than the rest of us-- I know you said purity is subjective, but I mean in the sense he remains true to his colours and isn't dyed by everything around him. He doesn't stain as deeply as the rest of us.

Lampent may be able to feed off of it, but it still stands that you brought them here. Beyond this, if you feel so responsible for one's madness, perhaps it would be wiser to ask Mana for a spell that could enable you yourself to step in instead of using a proxy.

At the end of the day it still doesn't change the meat of the matter.

You brought in another thing to pay the price for a greater price. Perhaps it was worth it, sure-but you failed to prepare for it with skill.
