[He's going to fly up to Noa's place with a bag that holds a plate of seared tuna in his little bat claws. Please let him in, it is a cat emergency.]

[Don't worry Atem! That door is open plenty enough for him to fly on in- it has to be if he's going to let the dogs out as they need. Newf is the one who notices first of course, lifting up her great massive head to give a confused 'hrrr?'

Noa is. Well, he's currently curled in what can best be described as a sulk. Go figure. He'll probably perk up once he actually sees Atem to be fair.]

[Atem swoops into the room, tossing the bag lightly upward with his claws.

In the moment it arcs up, Atem goes from bat to human -- and, just as it starts to come down, he catches it deftly in a human hand.]

I brought snacks.

[Woah-

And, oh- Noa jumps up somewhat himself, perking a little and sniffing toward the bag.] Snacks? [he repeats with a blink.] ...Thank you, Atem.

...You're getting good at that transformation I notice.

Heh heh. I've been here a year, now...if I weren't good at it, I'd be pretty embarrassed!

[He's pleased by the compliment, though. It's always a good feeling to be recognized by Noa.

He sets the plate of seared tuna down on the table, but rather than immediately dig in, he offers a hand to Noa.

He's been lonely, right? Does he want hug? Shoulders? Just to grip hands in a handshake for a minute? Atem's signaling that it is Okay to Go For It, whatever contact Noa wants.]

It's good to see you!

Fair enough...you were so many different monsters in-between one could almost worry, [he manages to joke, huffing and sniffing toward the food. And then, toward the hand, though the motion is only half conscious.

Ultimately he butts his head against it with a sigh, half crumpling in his seat.]

...................it's good to see you too, [he manages quietly, the weight of the past few days slowly registering.]

...I mean that.

[...ow, his heart. Noa really has been having a hard time, hasn't he...?]

You're my friend no matter what, Noa! Even if there's some things you don't want to talk about for now, it will never change what you mean to me.

[Noa was one of the first people in Ryslig to have Atem's back when he needed it, and Atem's never forgotten.]

...I'm glad to hear that, [he sighs, even if his body is still somewhat tense and balled up.] ...You're right- there...isn't much I feel like talking about for now. But it's good to have some company other than the pets.

[There is a frustrated 'wott!!' from the direction of the pool, and Noa rolls his eyes. Please, Squirt, you count as a 'pet'.]

[Atem sits himself down, right beside Noa. If the chair is small, that doesn't matter! He still plants his skinny pharaoh butt down right beside his friend, as though he owns the place.]

Well, you have it! There's plenty to do besides talk.

[Swim. Games. Snack. Nap. Go for a walk.]

Do you want to stay in, or go out?

[noasark]

I'm staying in, [he immediately replies.] It's cold, I'm cold, and I'm not about to make that worse, [the cat huffs.]

....Hmn. ...Though we've probably played through everything I have, haven't we.

[Oh no....a cold cat....]

Your pool's warm, right?

We could play something there. Not a video game, or anything electronic, of course! But there's all kinds of fun games you don't need a console for.

The pool is warm, yes...not sure about playing any pool games, but... [He stands up, and he stretches.]

It is warm, so a swim sounds fine...~

[Well look at the bounce that put back in his attitude huh!]

Then, let's go!

[Atem picks up the food he brought, and he'll follow Noa down for swims.

Pools are good. Especially pretty ones, that don't just feel nice to hang out in but also look nice. It's calming. It's nice for cooling off in the summer and staying warm in winter...

...and, it's cheered Noa up, which is gratifying. As they walk, he'll explain further:]

Don't worry, it doesn't have to be athletic. There's guessing games, and word-games...

[To the pool!! To the pool..!!! He'll slide right on in and float for a bit. Like a strange otter or something...] Hmmmmmmmmmmm.

That's going to turn into some version of Telephone if I decide to sink...

Don't sink before you've eaten. This is AAA-grade tuna.

[He pauses in stripping down to his shorts to shake the bag he brought with him. Snacks, Noa.]

[Alright you have his attention-] ..............the snacks are tuna?

I was serious about cheering you up.

[Atem pulls his undershirt off, and steps into the pool, leaving the bag by the edge. Ah...it's warm....

He's forgotten about the knife scars all over his chest and the ugly, ugly burns on his back, for now. He's too delighted by the warm water and watching Noa's pupils go round.]

[He is getting right over there- and politely not addressing the knife scars and such, let's not make this a terrible day- but he's rolling back onto his front and kitty-paddling.] I'll have to eat that on the side, I don't want fish in the pool-

[There is a protesting squeak, as Squirt the dewott starts charging over from the pet-pile that had been in the living room. He knew he smelled something, he Knew it.]

...Well some in the pool is fine I suppose...

What the hell--!

[Atem is going to snatch up the plate with vampire speed and hold it up out of the....ninja otter's....reach. He'll float up a few extra feet with his mist if he has to.]

This is monster tuna! Not blue-otter tuna! You get some if Noa says so. Don't be greedy!

[He has no idea if his scolding can be understood.]
