<GREATFLOOD>
The one good thing about low employee count; we have plenty to spare for research and compensation right now...or at least until the drawback to the low count kicks in.
<oliver>
Maybe you'll get more staff before that happens.
We did just get a few new arrivals who probably need jobs still.
<GREATFLOOD>
I suppose worst case I could dip into my coin fund and have Mana connect us to the rail system...
<oliver>
It sounds like it'd probably be pretty expensive though.
<GREATFLOOD>
I'll need to ask at least.
<oliver>
It doesn't hurt to ask.
At least Mana's friendly. :)
<GREATFLOOD>
I'm honestly surprised at how many still swear against her name at this point-she deserves far better than that, given everything.
<oliver>
And it's not like she never messes up with her magic.
I think some people just need someone to be mad at.
Especially when they asked for something important to them.
<GREATFLOOD>
She's the reason my house still hasn't been found by anyone 'unpleasant'.
<oliver>
I only got my apartments the regular way and it's been fine.
<GREATFLOOD>
And killing them. [he had been just a little worried about becoming a target of vengeance to say the least.]
<oliver>
Yeah.
I remember last February.
[How could he forget? It was the first time he'd murdered someone.]
<GREATFLOOD>
I won, but they didn't seem very pleased about that, as you can imagine. And I don't mean because they died-it seemed they were more enraged about the fact that I even came close in the first place.
Considering I still couldn't move very easily back then, I took precautions. It paid off too, I'll admit; stalking cases haven't gone very far thanks to the home being impossible to locate.
<oliver>
I'm glad it's worked out well for you.
That sounds pretty different from my situation.
<GREATFLOOD>
<oliver>
You're better off not knowing more than that.
<GREATFLOOD>
In any case, I'll give an update on the employee situation in a few days time.
<oliver>
Thanks, Noa.
