While there's certainly medications, the first step is generally a therapist, since frankly, medications aren't always the answer.

The problem is, we don't actually have any who aren't from here, and I don't think I trust the ones who are, to treat a monster properly.

We're assuming it was the 'direct' cause with that question. It could be that things were triggered by something he felt, or something he realized...

...Hm. Well, I suppose in this case with the power to steal pain, it could fall into this category after all. It's still pain after all- though I wouldn't expect someone to end up depressed after that, they'd probably still have something that necessitates talking to a therapist.

Frankly it's a lot like what we're doing, except, were I a therapist, I would have a far better idea of what the hell we're doing.

Also I would know a little more about the associated medications.
